The stage of Bethesda E3 2018 Press Conference came two developers from Machine Games to introduce Wolfenstein Young Blood, which is the latest addition to the Wolfenstein family as a co-op experience with the perfect setting of the 1980s and featuring B.J. Blazkowicz’s twin daughters. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus released last year, and Machine Games is all set to take the sequel forward with this Nazi-era game.
What’s the storyline?
The Wolfenstein sequel creates an alternate future where players get to show their battling prowess as they combat with Nazis. The co-op game is set in Paris during the 1980s and takes the story of its previous version ahead. It’s been twenty years that B.J. Blazkowicz triggered the Second American Revolution in the New Colossus, but freedom is far. After B.J goes missing in Nazi-occupied Paris, it’s his children who would continue the battle in this game.
Wolfenstein Youngblood will bring Sophia and Jessica Blazkowicz, the twin daughters of B.J. and Anya together to continue the battle for freedom. Together, they wage war against the Nazi tyranny in Paris and find the location of their father. The game is all about using the best resources and strategies to counter the Nazi attacks in a quest for something that seems not only difficult but impossible. But it shouldn’t be the case because the developers have come up with a strong storyline that will keep you hooked till the very end of the campaign.
The preceding game, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, garnered accolades from gamers owing to its incredible concept. It always felt like an invitation to spend a good time gaming. The open-ended design of the game certainly left fans doubting, but everything seems to make sense after its succeeding version’s story rolled out.
Wolfenstein Youngblood sets itself apart from its predecessor by bringing a complete co-op gameplay to players. It is de facto the first time in the history of Wolfenstein that a game with both single-player and multi-player playing styles has come out. As a single-player, you can enjoy the companion of an AI. But it’s when they make use of the co-op playing option that players can explore the traits and skills of the two characters to the fullest potential.
Although both daughters fight as bravely as their dear dad, the full cooperative play certainly enhances the gaming experience for players. Kicking Nazi butts with a friend can be extremely fun and exciting for them. Not to forget, the game is also bringing back the Da’at Yichud Power Suit from its previous versions.
Machine Games and Bethesda E3 haven’t confirmed the exact date, but Wolfenstein Youngblood is all set for release sometime in 2019. It’s a co-op game is something that should be on your list if you liked Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. It’s going to take you one a whole new mission to free Paris and dear B.J. Blazkowicz from the Nazi oppression.
The latest update says that the game will be available on Xbox One, PC and PS4. If you wish to get a glimpse of the game, here’s the trailer for you. You can even visit our website to buy the game.
