What makes Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 So Playable?
When it first launched in 2016, Tom Clancy’s The Division was not such a massive hit among gamers and critics. The shooter, role-playing game (RPG), which is set in an apocalyptic world, where tens of thousands have been dead because of a plague, received mixed responses.
However, developer Ubisoft did not give up, and this year, it has released Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 with significant improvements, making the game one of the most anticipated games of the year before its release in March. Below, we discuss why every gamer should play Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
Wide range of playstyles enabled by amazing gear sets
One of the greatest features of Division 2’s improvement is that it comes with a wide range of playstyles which is possible because of the improvements in the gear sets of the game. Thanks to these amazing high-tech gear sets, players can now enjoy various, unique playstyles despite the character’s somewhat limited skill sets. Whether you want to play as an enhanced combat medic, or as a disruptive tank role that has a ballistic shield, there are specific gear sets for all these.
Apart from the improvement in the gears, you can also unlock skills along the way which you can later use in combat to either support your squadmates or to defeat your enemies. Assaults, snipers, turrets, seeker mines, explosives and airbursts, and more are available.
A lot more action
Perhaps one of the biggest complaints of the original Tom Clancy’s The Division was that there were not enough things to do in the game. For instance, in the Dark Zone, there was not much you could do in a competitive PvP combat if your gear level were low. This left players with very few options if they wanted to get ahead. Thankfully, with The Division 2, there is a lot more action for players because there are a lot more things to do. For instance, you can find lots of high-value targets, which provide you with tons of rewards.
Factions have more solid goals
The three factions in the game, namely The Hyenas, The Outcasts, and The True Sons, seemed like they were aimlessly violent in the original game. In other words, they did not have a goal or a mission in particular. However, in The Division 2, all the three factions now engage in more driven actions with solid objectives. If they manage to achieve these goals, then they move on to bigger goals that could change the entire city for the worse.
Side mission (apart from the main missions) are available
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 comes with a bunch of side missions, aside from the main missions. Five side missions will take you all around popular locales and neighborhoods in Washington, including the Grand Hotel as well as Martin Luther King Jr. Library.
Taking these into consideration, it’s safe to say that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has been one of the most playable games released this year.
